As our guest speaker we are honored to have Rahima Haya. Ms. Haya is from Afghanistan. She has lived in the United States since 1983. She has worked as a translator for the Livermore School District and she has been very active in Women’s Education and Literacy Projects. She has made three trips back to Afghanistan to help women there, but it became too dangerous with the Taliban.
After our speaker, we will proceed with the Nominations.
Contra Costa NOW will be having its chapter election of officers on December 18, 2021.
Nominations will take place on November 20, 2021 from 2-4 pm via Zoom.
Only Contra Costa NOW members of at least 90 day duration at the time of the election (12/18/2021) may serve as officers.
